We currently have just under 200 adult members. Our objective as a Club is to promote the game of tennis by encouraging and supporting more players, of all ages and abilities, to play better competitive or social tennis in an environment that is fun, safe and inclusive.
We currently offer our members five social sessions each week. In addition to weekly Club sessions, we hold regular social tournaments. These are open to all members and are designed to be fun and to encourage more competitive play, but for players of all abilities. Please check the clubhouse notice board and this website for details of upcoming events.
*Some Club sessions throughout the week have some players starting 30 minutes earlier than scheduled below. Join the relevant WhatsApp group to keep in the loop.
During Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday sessions, players are rotated to ensure that pairings are well balanced and everyone gets a competitive match, albeit in a friendly atmosphere.

If you want to play competitive tennis, We have a team for you! Our teams play in the LTA Leagues against other clubs in the area.
During the winter season (October to March) we run:
During the summer season (April to September) we run:
We also run various junior teams, please see our juniors section for more information.
We run a singles ‘box league’ which is run via the LTA website.
The box league is run on a 6 to 8 week cycle. There are around 6 players in each box. During the cycle, all players will play the others in their box and record their results online. At the end of each cycle, the top 2 players will move up and the bottom 2 will move down.
We believe that sport can be one of the most powerful platforms for promoting gender equality and empowering women and girls. However, in an era when women’s sport in general is getting a greater, but not yet fair, share of the headlines and coverage, more progress is still needed, including in tennis. Together with the LTA, Wargrave Tennis club is aiming to increase participation of women and girls at the club.
As well as the opportunity to play social and/or competitive tennis, Coach Ollie is now running popular cardio tennis sessions for women of all standards keen to have a good workout, improve their footwork and have fun. Please speak to our membership secretary Wendy, Ladies captain Sue or Coach Ollie for further information.
