We are a friendly, inclusive, community-based, volunteer-run club that promotes tennis, padel, and pickleball for all ages and abilities. We are incredibly proud to have been awarded Berkshire Tennis Club of the Year 2025 and to have been shortlisted as an LTA Club of the Year National Finalist 2026. We attract members from Wargrave, Twyford, Henley, Maidenhead, Reading and beyond.

Membership has grown by 50% in the last 12 months, reflecting major improvements to our facilities. We have four new artificial clay and three asphalt tennis courts, three pickleball courts and one padel court, with a second available from 1 June* that can be booked by members from just £10 an hour. All courts feature high-quality LED floodlighting, and we also have plans in place for a larger clubhouse.

The club offers an active singles box league, a popular padel ladder, and eight weekly social-play sessions. We field 20 teams in the county leagues, with our top teams competing in Division 1. Our junior section has grown to over 180, with holiday camps and coaching for all abilities.  Watch the movie to see more.

Our first padel court was installed in 2025. Second court due by 1st June 2026.

Available for adult tennis members to book from just £10 an hour.
Competitive Singles Box Leagues
We currently run six singles box leagues.

Leagues run for 5-6 weeks with promotion for the top two players.
20 Teams in LTA County Leagues
Over 80 adult members play for our teams.

Trials and practice sessions are held on Wednesday evenings.
Great Coaching for All Standards
Our coaching program is run by Ollie Brown.

Private lessons, group coaching and holiday camps.
Social Club Sessions
Eight weekly social club tennis sessions open to all standards.

Including two weekly pickleball sessions and tournaments throughout the year.

Our Members Love Us!

Wargrave Tennis Club has a wide catchment area and attracts players, of all ages and abilities, from across the counties of Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and beyond!  Our membership has grown by 50% in the past 12 months, and in our latest annual membership survey, 98% say they “enjoy being members of the Club” and 98% “would recommend the Club to a friend”.
