Our two new artificial clay courts were finally opened on Friday 3rd May by Club Treasurer, Richard Vertigan. They are now ready for play and members can book the courts using our online booking system. In comparison to traditional hard courts, artificial clay provides a safer playing surface in wet conditions and is a softer underfoot, helping to reduce playing injuries. The decision to move to artificial clay was approved by 85% of members in February. If demand for the new courts is high, we will look at plans to resurface two more courts with artificial clay from April 2025.
