When using or booking courts, all members (and visiting non-members) should follow the rules and etiquette listed below.
1. For all courts, any pre-booked match, coaching or Club sessions takes priority over any court time that has not been booked online. If you are playing on a court that has been pre-booked; if requested, please come off the court at the end of your next game (NOT set or match), and wait for another court to become available.
2. Members can book available courts up to 14 days in advance.
3. Bookings can be made by using the ClubSpark website at www.wargraveltc.co.uk/courtbookings or the CourtBooker app or download the CourtBooker APP to your phone. To book courts, you need to be registered to ClubSpark (which you should have done if you joined the Club online).
4. Booking courts may not be required when the Club is quiet or when you are attending a Club session, coaching or playing in a Club match.
5. Tennis members can play on any courts if they are not being used. HOWEVER, if requested, please come off the court if it has been pre-booked by someone else at the end of your next game (NOT set or match). Either move to another available court or wait for another court to become free. For clay courts, remember to leave time for sweeping.
6. Members should avoid booking courts 5 and 6 at non-peak times when they are allocated to non-members.
7. Please avoid pre-booking a court for longer than two hours. This should be more than enough to accommodate most matches (2 sets with a championship tie break).
8. Members should immediately cancel any advanced bookings if they are no longer able to play their match. This frees up the courts for other users.
9. Non-members can book and play on courts 5 and 6 when they are not needed by the Club for league matches or Club tournaments, and ONLY if they have booked and paid for the courts BEFORE they start playing.
10. Non-members are not allowed to play on any other court (even if they are free) unless they are playing with a member (and a visitor’s fee of £5 has been paid before playing).
11. Non-members should only book courts 5 and 6 for play during daylight hours, as we cannot guaranteed that flood lights will be available.
12. Members playing on artificial clay courts should stop play 5 minutes before the scheduled end time and use the provided equipment to prepare the courts for the next players use.
13. Pickleball Only Members are entitled to book and use Court 8 for play subject to using the ClubSpark court booking system, or on any other courts that may have been block booked for pickleball matches / tournaments. Pickleball Only Members are not allowed to play tennis on any courts except if they want to book courts 5 and 6 as a non-member. Alternatively, they are extremely welcome to upgrade to a full tennis membership at any point if they wish to play tennis at the Club on any other court.
For any questions, or for Club members who want to book courts for a League match, Club session or coaching, please contact the Match Secretary via email.
