Over 70 people braved the weather to enjoy some fun tennis and free coaching at Wargrave Tennis Club’s Big Tennis Open Day on Sunday March 26th. The afternoon was all about having fun for the whole family, with 54 guests meeting Club members and Wargrave’s new LTA coaching team, Peter Bresnen and Ollie Brown.
A range of free coaching sessions were offered for juniors and adults, including a high energy cardio tennis work out. A few kids played with the Tennis Factory equipment and two adults even tried their hand with the automatic ball machine. To date, 15 of our guests have now joined the Club.
The open day kicked off the new tennis season at Wargrave, and new members are always welcome. The Club has eight high-quality all-weather courts, and in 2022 we installed new competition standard LED floodlighting on all courts. Every season the Club enters up to 15 teams in the Berkshire Leagues; runs an active singles box league; offers 5 weekly social tennis club seasons; and supports a thriving section for junior tennis.
