Over 200 competitors and spectators attended our annual finals day, enjoying sunny weather and exciting on-court action, including seven tennis finals and the inaugural finals day for both padel and pickleball. Keep scrolling down the page to watch a video and see some photos from the day.

Junior Tennis Finals
Many thanks to Katie Hodgkins, our juniors coordinator, for organising a fun fast-fours competition for 14 of our leading junior players. The event kicked off the day with great action from both the girls and the boys.
Pickleball Tennis
The Pickleball competition took place in the morning, featuring 15 finalists competing across three different box leagues, with the top 8 players advancing to the semi-finals and finals. Want to give pickleball a try? We organise three pickleball social sessions each week, with over 40 players signed up to the pickleball Whatsapp group.
Adult Tennis Finals
Many thanks to Tom Lewis, our Tournament Director, for organising our adult tennis competition that was conducted over three months, with more than 50 competitors across five events. The finals took place in the afternoon, featuring some closely contested matches. The ladies’ and men’s doubles were particularly competitive, both going into championship tie-breaks before Jeremy and Tom, and Rebecca and Pippa emerged as the winners.
The Padel Finals
Huge thanks to Mark Nockles for organising a very exciting Padel competition that saw over 80 players compete over three months, with a main competition for the first-round winners and a Plate Competition for first-round runners-up. The final match was watched by a crowd of over 50, with a close fought match between the winners, Jeremy and Ollie, and our runners-up, Rich and Tom.
The Spectators
Finally, BIG thanks to all the spectators who supported the day and a special shout-out to Richard Hodgkins, who managed our BBQ all day! And thanks also to Adam Fahy for his great photographs. It was a fantastic day to mark the end of our main summer season, which has seen membership at Wargrave grow by over 35%, to more than 450 members.
