Wargrave Tennis Club’s growing band of pickleball players had their third coaching session with Russell Trayling, a local IPTPA pickleball coach. The sesssion started at 7pm and Russell took the group through a range of drills to improve techniques covering five core areas from the serve to the volley, to the perfect “dink” shot.

Pickleball tennis continues to grow at Wargrave, with a third weekly club session now being run every Friday at 5.45pm. This is in addition to two weekly sessions that we have been running since last September, every Monday evening from 7pm to 9pm, and on Thursday mornings from 10.30am to 12.30pm.
We now offer our members three pickleball courts, including a new “show court” on court number 9, alongside our first padel court on court number 8. All courts have free LED floodlighting, with bats and balls provided by the Club.
Pickleball tennis is one of the fastest growing sports in America. The rules are simple and the game is easy for beginners, but it can develop into a fast-paced, competitive game for more advanced players as shown in this amazing pickleball video from the USA.
