Our junior sessions take place in a social and friendly environment where juniors can meet new friends. We aim to balance social and competitive tennis, making sure your juniors receive quality lessons suited to their needs.
Our coaches run various sessions and tennis camps for juniors from the age of four.
Our Juniors Coordinator Katie Hodgkins is focused on growing junior tennis at Wargrave. Katie is supported by Head Coach Ollie Brown who runs term-time courses, active holiday camps and private lessons.
Junior members get a discount on all coaching, can attend club night sessions every Friday from 4.30pm – 5.30pm, use our courts for free, play for teams, and enter a range of junior club competitions throughout the year.
Juniors are assessed at the start of each term and placed in ability groups. They are encouraged to learn all the basic skills and tactics of tennis through the LTA licensed coaches. Groups start with complete beginners and progress through the various levels up to match play.
There are junior club nights with LTA registered coaches for ages 10–18 years (members only) which start after the Easter holidays. This provides a fantastic opportunity for youngsters to improve their tennis and to meet new friends. Fridays 4:30 – 5:30pm.
Younger members (age 4–9) also have their own dedicated session on Friday from 4:30 – 5:30pm. These run after the Easter holidays through to Autumn half term but are dependent on term times and the weather. Check with the coaches for further information.
There are various holiday camps held during school holidays. For details of the upcoming summer camps click the ‘Summer Camps’ button.
Wargrave Tennis Club takes the safety of its Junior members very seriously. Click the ‘Safeguarding’ button for further information.
